Lots to do — vineyard tours and tastings, canoeing on the Dordogne, medieval villages, weekly markets, and more. We've put together our full local guide with all our favourite places to eat, drink and explore.

Can I do wine tastings and vineyard tours?

Absolutely — we're surrounded by excellent organic vineyards. Château de Claribès, just up the road, is a firm favourite, along with several others in our local guide.

Are there any good local restaurants?

Yes, plenty — from cosy bistros to Michelin-starred tables, many within a 15-minute drive. See our local guide for our full list of favourites.

Is it possible to cycle in the area?

Yes — quiet roads run straight from our door through vineyards and bastide towns. We lend free e-bikes to all guests, and we're happy to point you to cycling maps for the area.

Is it possible to run in the area?

Yes — the Chemin de Compostelle passes right by our home, along with quiet country roads and trails. Just ask and we'll point you to running routes and maps for the area.

Are there places I can walk, or walk my dog?

Plenty — the Chemin de Compostelle passes our front door, and lovely walks start right from your bedroom door. We can also point you to walking maps, and the dogs are always happy to show you the way.

Always, and always free — everywhere except the pool. One dog max per room. Sherlock and Mrs Hudson, our own Airedales, will be delighted to meet them.

Yes, a heated saltwater pool with a counter-current swim machine.

What wellness facilities are included?

The yoga studio, gym, and infrared sauna are included. Guided yoga sessions and Tom's Thai massage are paid extras.

How far are we from Bordeaux, Bergerac and Saint-Émilion?

About an hour to Bordeaux, 30 minutes to Bergerac (our nearest airport), and 40 minutes to Saint-Émilion.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 4pm to 9pm, and check-out is by 10am. If you're arriving later, just let us know — we're happy to accommodate.

Yes, breakfast is included for all five guest rooms. If you're staying in the apartment, breakfast is available for a €12/person supplement.

We serve homemade dinners three nights a week. We'll confirm which nights when you arrive, since it varies week to week.

Yes — just let us know in advance and we'll happily accommodate, for breakfast and dinner alike.

Yes, the minimum age is 18. The exception is private events, where children and grandchildren are always welcome.

It's not a deal breaker — but a rental car will give you more flexibility to explore our area at your own pace.
